I haven’t written a blog post in a really long time.
I actually have a reason for that.
The last year hasn’t been the best for me. But, it has been a journey and an experience of learning. It has been a year of feeling extremely tired and quite a bit off. I was not able to focus or concentrate on much of anything and depression was biting at my heels. I felt like I could not do much of anything. Unfortunately, that means my writing took a back seat to the more pressing things in my life.
A few months ago, I received the diagnosis of Hypothyroidism. Which means my thyroid was not producing the hormones my body needs to… well… function. The good news is with that diagnosis came medication which makes me feel much more like my old self. I now have much more energy and focus and feel motivated to carry on with my dream of being a writer. And I have learned more about causes and what to look for when depression gets the best of us.
Better than Ever!
As we bring in the new year, this post is let you all know, that I am dedicated to making a comeback and creating a blog that is better than ever. And, I am so excited to get back on my path of reaching out to others.
I am currently working on a complete re-do of this blog. I’ll be moving things around, re-doing pages and of course writing new information. So keep coming back and sign up for my mailing list so you don’t miss any of these exciting new changes and updates.
If you have experienced depression and are ready to see the world without a lens of negativity, be sure to keep a look out for my series of books: The Depression Warrior Series. This series will contain detailed information to help you find your inner-warrior and win the battle against depression. I’ve got some amazing ideas for this series that I cannot wait to share with you! I am also creating a category of this blog dedicated to the Depression Warriors so be sure to check that out as well.
It is my dream that we can create a supportive community of people who have had or who are currently fighting the battle against depression. So please leave questions, comments and any helpful advice or criticism throughout the blog. If you find any posts to be helpful, please help me spread the word by leaving a like and sharing.
As always, I send love & many blessings to you all!
