Do you know the Universe is primarily made up of energy? And at the basis of that energy is numbers? Each number with its own very specific energy?
Even if you are not mathematically inclined, this energy may be more beneficial in your life than you can possibly imagine.
Numerology is the study of this numerical energy. The numbers 1-9 each have meanings that provide information about your life path, future, and personality.
By knowing the numbers specific to you, you can better understand yourself, your relationships, and what you are meant to do with your life. Fascinatingly, numerology can also tell you what times in your life may be difficult or problematic. So you can head off potential problems.
Numerology is pretty amazing, but that is a different story. This guide is about angel numbers.
So What are Angel Numbers Anyway?
Angel numbers are kind of like numerology, but most people will find them more useful in regular day-to-day life.

However, instead of using the numbers to determine your personality and various life events that are expected to occur, like in numerology, angel numbers are about offering you a doorway to easily and effectively communicate with your angels and spirit guides.
Angel numbers go beyond numerology because they are embedded with angelic and spiritual meaning that tends to be more positive, uplifting, and helpful for our everyday experiences. The numbers you see every day provide a way for your angels to give you these special and encouraging messages as you venture through the aspects of living in the physical world.
Why Do Angels Use Numbers to Communicate? Why Not Just Talk to Us?
Speaking of energy. The angels and those of us in the physical realm resonate at different levels of energy. Called vibrations. The angel’s vibrations are very high, while those of us in the physical realm have much lower vibrations.
In order for us to clearly communicate with those in the spiritual realm, we (the angels and us) must have our vibrational energy as close as possible. The closer our energies resonate, the easier it is to sense and understand each other. So this means we have to raise our energy while the angels also lower theirs.
Although this is possible and does happen quite often, it can be problematic. Since when we are most in need of love and guidance, our energy vibrates very low.
This makes it difficult for the angels to get their message across to you – when you probably need them the most.
So, the angels use numbers. Numbers are everywhere, and they are easy to see no matter how low your vibes are at the time. So the angels can use them to get your attention and pass on their messages.
It is the prevalence of numbers in your life that gives the spiritual realm the opportunity and ability to communicate with you whenever they have something they want you to know. Even if you are experiencing a difficult time in your life and your vibrational energy is very low
All you need to do is be willing to accept the message, and angel numbers will appear.
How Do I Know If a Number is an Angel Number?
If you see a number or sequence of numbers that stand out to you, you are receiving a message from the spiritual realm. Simple as that. Trust your feelings, intuition, and senses.
These numbers appear anywhere and everywhere. Including clocks, license plates, signs, street numbers, addresses, store receipts, the change you get back at a store – anywhere you look. Usually, the spotting of these numbers occurs several times in a short period of time, making it obvious that something is up.
If you have seen a number an unusual amount of times or if you have a feeling that something is going on when you see a number – it is most likely an Angel Number.
By paying attention and learning the meaning of the numbers, you will be able to receive the message your angels have for you. Messages are usually about things like guidance, making sure you are on the right path, advice, help with making a decision, or just to remind you that you are loved.
These messages from the angels are meant to guide, inspire, support, uplift, and advise you. They are always positive and loving.

If I See an Angel Number, How Will I Know What it Means?
To know the meaning of a number, you have to learn it, but, more importantly, you also have to listen to your intuition and internal guidance. As each number 1-9 and 0 carries its own energy and meaning, the specific message that comes from that energy will be different for every person in every situation.
The easiest way to know what the angels are trying to tell you when you see an angel number is to look the meaning up somewhere (in a book or online). But just looking the number up and reading about it will not give you the complete and full picture. So, in addition to learning about the energy of the number, you have to turn inward and really pay attention to everything you are thinking, feeling, and experiencing.
Remember that angels and our spiritual guides speak to us through our intuition and subconscious minds, so your message does not end just because you saw a particular angel number. Trust your gut and listen to what is going on within you as you read about the energy of each angel number. Because within you is where you will truly find the answers and clarification that you need.
Angel Numbers and Number Sequences
Most of the time, when you see an angel number, it will be a sequence or combination of numbers that appear. This is not meant to complicate things for you, rather, it is a way for the angels to enrich and include more detail to the message they want you to receive.
If you see a sequence of different numbers, the message can take on a somewhat new meaning. However, it doesn’t really change too much because the message just has the energy of each number at the same time. It’s kind of like putting a story together from the basic pieces. Each number is an element of the whole story.
For example, 12. The angel number 12 has the energy of the angel number 1 in addition to the energy of the angel number 2. The angel number 1 is about new beginnings, fresh starts, individuality, and thinking positively. The angel number 2 carries the energy of balance and having faith even before you see the result. So the angel number 12 may mean that ‘as you begin something new in your life to stay positive and keep faith in yourself because good things are coming from the situation – even though you may not see that just yet.‘
If you see a series of a single number (such as 11:11, 222, 3333, etc.), the energy of the message is multiplied. It is kind of like the angels are repeating the number for emphasis. Or perhaps adding some exclamation points!!!
Not to mention a series of repeated numbers tend to catch our attention more easily. So you will see this kind of angel number often.

Put the meaning of the angel number 3 together with the meaning we got before from the angel number 1 and the angel number 2, and you get a fuller picture of what the angel number 12 means for you. This may be: ‘As you begin something new in your life, stay positive and keep faith in yourself because good things are coming from the situation – even though you may not see it just yet. You are on the right spiritual path, your dreams and goals are beginning to manifest, and you are likely being assisted by an ascended master.’

So, it is all well and good to have to remember the meaning of the numbers in order to understand their message. And it takes quite a bit of practice and mastery to put all those meanings together to create the story of your angel message. Personally, I think it is fun to put all the pieces together and create a fluid message for all the numbers I see.
But, most people don’t have the time to do the research and memorize it all. So, I have spent many hours doing this for you. I am in the process of creating this series, An Easy Guide to Angel Numbers, so you can easily look up a number and get a glance at what the number’s energy is and several possible messages the angels may be sending you.
You still have to do the work of paying attention to your intuition and listening to your inner guidance to really get the true and accurate message for you. But I have done the first steps in each post and included the energy of the angel number, and put it all together into possible messages to choose from.
Before I write each post, I take the time to meditate and ask the angels to assist me in understanding the energy of each number and to decipher as many possible messages as possible As such, I do believe the angels have sent you to my website for a reason.
